Websites Built to Be Found, Used and Trusted
We design and build fast, accessible, mobile-first websites for businesses across Blackpool, Lancashire and the UK. Structure, speed and technical SEO are planned from the first sketch, not bolted on after launch, so your site is ready to earn search visibility and enquiries.

01 Overview
Why we design websites with search in mind from the start
A website can look polished and still struggle to rank or convert, and most of the reasons are decided in planning, long before anyone chooses colours or fonts.
Many redesigns start with visuals and leave structure until the end. The result is often a site that looks fresh but has fewer useful pages, weaker internal linking and slower load times than the one it replaced. We work the other way round. Information architecture comes first: which services and locations deserve their own pages, how visitors and search engines move between them, and which questions each page needs to answer. Design then gives that structure a clear, credible shape.
Performance and accessibility are part of the brief, not extras. We build with Core Web Vitals in mind, keeping layouts stable, images properly sized and scripts lean, so pages respond quickly on mobile connections. We design to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which means sufficient colour contrast, logical headings, keyboard navigation and meaningful alt text. These choices help real people use your site, and they overlap heavily with the page experience search engines look for.
Technical SEO is built in rather than retrofitted: clean URLs, sensible title and heading structure, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, structured data and crawlable navigation. If you are replacing an existing site, the riskiest moment is launch day. We map every old URL that has traffic or links to its new equivalent with a 301 redirect, check the result after launch and monitor Search Console for errors. Our technical SEO service covers this in more depth.
Good design is also content-led. We plan pages around what your customers need to know before they get in touch, then design layouts that present it clearly, with obvious calls to action and trust signals placed where people tend to hesitate. If you need help with the words themselves, our SEO content service can run alongside the build, so copy and layout are developed together rather than squeezed into templates afterwards.
02 Benefits
What you get from a search-ready website
-
01
Pages that load quickly
Lean code, optimised images and careful use of third-party scripts help pages load and respond quickly, which matters for visitors on mobile data and feeds directly into Core Web Vitals.
-
02
A structure search engines understand
A logical page hierarchy, thoughtful internal links and clean URLs make it easier for search engines to crawl your site and work out which page answers which query.
-
03
Usable by everyone
Designing to WCAG means people using screen readers, keyboards or magnification can use your site. It also reduces legal and reputational risk and tends to improve usability for every visitor.
-
04
Layouts built for conversions
Pages are planned around the action you want visitors to take, with clear calls to action, short forms and reassurance placed where people hesitate, rather than scattered at random.
-
05
Safer migrations
Redirect mapping, pre-launch crawls and post-launch checks reduce the risk of losing rankings and traffic when you change platform, domain or URL structure, or merge two sites into one.
-
06
Easy to keep up to date
Sites are built so your team can edit text, add pages and publish news without breaking layouts or needing a developer for every small change.
03 What is included
What a website project includes
Each project is scoped to your needs, but a typical build covers:
-
Discovery and keyword-led planning
Understanding your services, customers and goals, then using keyword research to decide which pages the site needs and how they should be organised.
-
Information architecture
A page hierarchy, navigation plan and internal linking approach agreed before design starts, so the structure supports both visitors and search engines.
-
Wireframes and visual design
Mobile-first wireframes followed by visual design that reflects your brand, with layouts checked on real devices and a range of screen sizes.
-
Development and Core Web Vitals
A responsive build with attention to loading, responsiveness and layout stability, including image optimisation, caching and sensible handling of fonts and scripts.
-
Accessibility checks
Design and build checked against WCAG criteria, including colour contrast, heading order, form labels, visible focus states and keyboard navigation, using manual checks as well as automated tools.
-
Technical SEO set-up
Title tags, meta descriptions, canonicals, XML sitemap, robots.txt, structured data and analytics configured before launch, not added as an afterthought.
-
Migration and redirect mapping
For redesigns, a full inventory of existing URLs, one-to-one 301 redirect mapping and checks to confirm redirects, links and tracking all work after launch.
-
Launch support and handover
Post-launch monitoring in Search Console and analytics, a fix list for anything that surfaces, and guidance so your team can manage the site with confidence.
04 Process
How a website project runs
Every engagement starts with understanding your goals and the current state of your search presence. No templated packages.
Start with a free audit-
01
Discover and research
We learn how your business wins customers, review your current site and analytics, and research the searches your customers make. This shapes the page list and priorities for everything that follows.
-
02
Plan the structure
We agree a sitemap, URL structure and content plan, and for existing sites we begin the redirect map. Getting this right early avoids costly changes once design and development are underway.
-
03
Design mobile-first
Wireframes come first, then full designs, starting from the mobile layout. You review and comment at each stage, so decisions about content, hierarchy and calls to action are settled before the build.
-
04
Build and test
We develop the site, load content, configure technical SEO and test speed, accessibility, broken links and tracking on a staging site that search engines are blocked from indexing.
-
05
Launch and monitor
Redirects go live with the new site, sitemaps are submitted, and we monitor Search Console, rankings and analytics closely in the weeks after launch, fixing issues quickly if they appear.
05 Who it is for
When a new website makes sense
-
Scenario 01
An older site that struggles on mobile
Your site was built years ago, looks dated on phones and is slow to load. A mobile-first rebuild improves usability straight away and gives you a sound technical base for any SEO work that follows.
-
Scenario 02
Changing platform or domain
You are moving to a new content management system, merging two sites or changing domain name. Careful URL mapping and redirect testing are essential if you want to hold on to the search visibility you have already earned.
-
Scenario 03
A growing business with a thin site
Your site has a handful of pages, but you now offer several services across Blackpool, Preston and the wider Fylde Coast. A new structure gives each core service, and each area you genuinely serve, a useful page of its own.
-
Scenario 04
Visitors who do not get in touch
People find your site but few make contact. A redesign focused on clearer messaging, stronger calls to action, visible trust signals and shorter forms can help more of them take the next step.

It can if a migration is handled badly, which is why we treat it carefully. We crawl your current site, identify pages with traffic, rankings or backlinks, and map each one to a relevant new URL with a 301 redirect. After launch we check the redirects, monitor Search Console and fix issues quickly. Some short-term fluctuation is normal, but careful planning greatly reduces the risk of lasting losses.
It depends on what you need. Many businesses are well served by WordPress because it is flexible and straightforward to edit. Online shops may suit a dedicated e-commerce platform, and some projects benefit from a custom build. We recommend a platform based on your content, budget and who will maintain the site, rather than forcing every project into the same tool.
Core Web Vitals are measurements Google uses to assess page experience: Largest Contentful Paint for loading, Interaction to Next Paint for responsiveness and Cumulative Layout Shift for visual stability. They are one of many signals rather than a shortcut to rankings, but they reflect how real visitors experience your site. We design and build with them in mind and check field data after launch.
Yes. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as our reference, covering colour contrast, text alternatives for images, heading structure, form labelling, visible focus and keyboard navigation. Automated tools only catch some issues, so we also check key templates manually. Accessibility is ongoing, so we explain how your team can keep new content accessible as they add it.
It depends on the number of pages, how much content needs writing and how quickly feedback comes back. A small brochure site is usually measured in weeks, while larger sites and migrations take longer because planning and testing matter more. We agree a realistic timeline at the start and flag anything that might affect it as early as possible.
We can, but we would usually suggest reviewing it at the same time. A redesign is a good opportunity to remove outdated pages, combine thin ones and improve the copy on important service pages. Where content already performs well in search, we take care to keep what is working, including headings and key sections, so a visual refresh does not undo existing visibility.
